Why We Collect Your Information

The Australian Shiatsu College (ASC) collects personal information from prospective and enrolled students—including short courses, workshops, and CPD—to process your application, manage your enrolment, deliver training, and meet regulatory requirements.

If you do not provide the requested information, ASC may not be able to offer you a place or deliver certain services.


How Your Information Is Used

Your information will be used to:

  • Manage your application/enrolment and deliver training and assessment,
  • Keep you informed about course/program changes and student opportunities (with your consent),
  • Support administrative and student welfare needs,
  • Meet our legal obligations.

Disclosure of Your Information

ASC may disclose your information to:

  • National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER), for national VET reporting and research,
  • Government/regulatory bodies (e.g., Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, ASQA, or USI Registry System),
  • Other organisations only as necessary to deliver ASC services, or if required/permitted by law.

You may receive government or NCVER student surveys (participation is optional and you may opt out at any time).

ASC does not share your personal information for marketing unless you have provided explicit consent, and you may unsubscribe at any time.


Data Security & Access

  • Your information is stored securely within ASC’s digital systems.
  • Access is restricted to authorised staff and trainers, and managed under the Privacy Policy.
  • You can request access, updates, or corrections to your data by contacting the ASC Privacy Officer.
